Above we show a remarkable photo of the Mosque el Aksa [i.e., al-Aqsa] during restoratoin in August 1943. It was made in 1943 by Matson Photo Service, photographer.

The illustration documents Jerusalem ladmark being restored. Scafolds are set up in front of the building.
