Here for your perusal is an original photograph of Steingberg's ektachromes, Jerusalem in the evening. It was created in approximately 1925 to 1946.
The photograph illustrates a man sitting on a hill by an olive tree, looking out over the city of Jeruslame. It is reminiscent of Jesus, as he looked out and wept over jeruslame . . . "As he approached Jerusalem and saw the city, he wept over it and said, "If you, even you, had only known on this day what would bring you peace" (Luke 19:41, NIV).
We have compiled this collection of photographs mainly to serve as a valuable educational resource. Contact curator@old-picture.com.
