Man Standing on Mount Hermon

Man Standing on Mount Hermon

Here for your consideration is a pleasing picture of Man Standing on Mount Hermon. It was created in 1933 by American Colony (Jerusalem). Photo Dept.

The photograph presents a stunning view of a man in profile staning on this historic Mountain. This is considered a possible site of the Transfiguration of Christ, where he took three of his disciples up on a high mountain for prayer. At this place Jesus was transfigured. He became radiant, and visited with Moses and Elijah, who appeared beside him. The apostles were astonished to hear a voice from Heaven say, "This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased; listen to him!" (Luke 9:29-36).
