Goatskin tannery at Hebron

Goatskin tannery at Hebron

Here for your enjoyment is an inspiring photograph of Goatskin tannery at Hebron. It was made in between 1898 and 1946.

The photo illustrates West Bank scene where the skins of goats are being cured to create vessels for carrying water. We do not know what the water tasted like after being transported in such a vessel.

We have compiled this collection of photos mainly to serve as a vital educational resource. Contact curator@old-picture.com.
