This site was created to help the visitor
develop an understanding of Middle East history through
vintage photographs. These photographs were created by the
American Colony in Jerusalem, led by Horatio Spafford. We
have restored, resized, and organized these photographs to
create an easy to navigate site. We have collected these images in large part from Government archives,
like the United States Library of Congress, and our personal
collections.
In preparing this material, we strive to respect copyrights, privacy rights, and other rights. If you feel any material on this site infringes your rights, please notify us and we will promptly remove it.
